Juanita Phillips Evans, 94, of Elkhart, Texas died 2004 at Spring Season Nursing Home in Elkhart. Burial was at Land of Memory Cemetery. She was born March 22, 1910 in Nolan County to John and Helen Phillips. Mrs. Evans was a homemaker and a member of Memory Lane Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Barney R. Evans Sr.; son, Barney F. Evans Jr.; two sisters; one brother; and a great-grandson. Mrs. Evans is survived by sons, John Evans and wife Freida of Elkhart, and Larry Evans and wife Donna of Brownsboro; daughter, Judy Thompson and husband David of Palestine; 11 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
