Anna R. Dietrich, of Bellwood, NE. passed away on February 6, 2013 at St. Joseph's Villa in David City, NE. Anna was born March 27, 1925 to Louis J. and Josephine (Sabatka) Sklenar on a farm near Abie, NE. Anna attended a rural country school near Octavia, NE. and completed through the 6th grade. Anna married Anton Dietrich August 20, 1946 in Schuyler, NE. Three children were born to this union. Anna was a member of the Explorer's Outdoor club and the ZZBJ Club in Schuyler, NE. for many years. Anna enjoyed motorcycle rides, vegetable and flower gardens, dogs, horses, playing the accordian, and listening the to Polka Show on Sunday mornings. She also loved canning, baking and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Anna is survived by: son, John Dietrich of Bellwood, NE.; daughter, Josi (Kurt) Kasik of Columbus, NE.; brother, James(Marcia) Sklenar; sisters, Nettie Drain, Helen Bybee; sister-in-laws: Lucky Sklenar, Marcie Sklenar; grandchildren, Laurie, Todd, and Scott Sklenar, James Hopkins, Brandon and Kienan Dietrich, and Tisa Kasik; great-grandchildren: Scott, Sean and Easton Hopkins. Anna was preceded in death by: parents; husband, Anton Dietrich; son, Louis Dietrich and brothers, Ernest and Joe Sklenar. Burial was in the Abie National Cemetery, Abie, NE.
