Bio

Annie was the daughter of Henry Hitchbourne and Susannah Cherrington Garfield. After marrying Susannah they moved to Spanish Fork, Utah where Annie was born. They later moved to Mona, Utah. Her mother died when she was 6 years old and her father married for the third time to Martha Yates. Annie had 1 sister and 4 brothers, Hattie, Richard, William H., Brigham and George Albert. Records indicate she had 14 half siblings. On 11 Jan. 1875, in Mona, Annie married John Heber Enniss. They were the parents of 5 children, Ethel Edna, Hannah May, Elizabeth Jane, John Heber, and Edith Augusta Enniss. After John died, Annie married Joseph Terry on 3 February, 1892 in Manti and she had 3 more children with him, Henry Clyde, James Garfield, and Lona Suzanna Terry. Joseph left her a widow again in 1916. At age 79, Annie was severely burned on her head and chest while trying to light her stove with Kerosene. Comlications from those injuries led to her death.
