NORTON, Va. June Pate Stallard Jackson, 97, died Saturday, Feb. 2, 2013, at Mountain View Regional Medical Center. Born to Edd D. and Mary Robinette Pate, she was the widow of Shelby H. Jackson; and her first husband, Robert Stallard. June was of the Freewill Baptist Faith and was a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She is survived by her daughter, Shirley Stallard Roberts and her husband, Roy, of Norton; a granddaughter, Robin Roberts Carico, Norton; a great-granddaughter, Shelby Carico, Emory, Va.; and a step-daughter-in-law, Wanda Jackson, Milton, Fla. There are several step-grandchildren from Florida, Texas, South Carolina and Ohio. The family will receive friend Monday from 6 until 7:30 p.m. at the Hagy & Fawbush Funeral Home in Norton. Funeral services will be held at 7:30 p.m. in the funeral home chapel, with the Rev. Lee Kidd officiating. Committal services will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. John Ellington officiating. Burial will then follow at Laurel Grove Cemetery.
