Bio

Bruno was born in Posen, Germany. He was the son of Julius and Juliana Bloch Woltman. In 1891, Bruno, his parents, and his brother William came to America aboard the SS Fulda. The family lived in Austin and Washington Counties in Texas. On June 23, 1911, Bruno married Bertha (Bettie) Lehmann. They eventually moved to Houston, where Bruno owned a furniture store. In 1948, Bruno and Bettie established a foundation to support Lutheran colleges and students in Texas.
