Presumably buried in Czech National Cemetery with her parents. Birth year calculated from age at death. ''''''''''' The following obituary was provided by Jeffrey J. Woita (#47231641): Valentine Democrat (Valentine, Nebr.), January 20, 1898, p. 5 Burned to Death. Anna Vrana, the 4-year-old daughter of John Vrana, was burned to death at her home, six miles south of Morse Bluff. The little girl was left alone in the house while her father went out to do some chores. He was only away from the house about five minutes. When he returned he found the room full of smoke and the little girl burned so badly that she never spoke. It is supposed she was trying to start a fire in the stove for her father. '''''''''''' Butler County Press (David City, Nebr.), January 21, 1898, p. 4, col. 4 A Sad Death A little 4-year-old daughter of Mike Vrana, living four miles southeast of Linwood was burned to death on Tuesday of last weeek. She was left alone and from appearances took a cob, stuck it in the oil jug, and then attempted to put it in the stove. She was burned to death before anyone knew of it. About a year ago a young child in that same neighborhood was burned to death in the same way. The funeral was held last Friday.
