GASTONIA - Albert Ernest Nethery, 92, passed away Jan. 1, 2012, at Gaston Memorial Hospital. Born March 3, 1919, in Montague County, Texas, he was the son of the late Elbert and Sarah Barclay Nethery. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by daughters, Elfrieda Maungyoo and Kay Padrick. Albert was retired from Seymour Johnson AFB civil service, a US Army Veteran of WWII, a Master Mason and former Flag Man in Goldsboro. He is survived by his wife, Living Nethery; children, Living male Nethery, Living female Parker, Living male Green Jr. and Living female Gellner; sister, Living female Mondy; grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A Celebration of Life service will be 9 a.m. Monday in the chapel of A Simple Service Burial and Cremation, 451 Hospital Drive, Gastonia. Interment will follow at 1 p.m. in Salisbury National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Alzheimer's Association 3800 Shamrock Drive, Charlotte NC 28215.
