Corrigan Funeral Home, directors. Published in The Lufkin Daily News on January 30, 2013 Graveside services for George Dent Shepherd, 62, of Corrigan, Texas will be held Saturday, February 2, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. in the Damascus Cemetery in Corrigan, Texas with Pastor Curtis Jordan and Pastor Ralph Johnston officiating. Mr. Shepherd was born June 3, 1950 in Texas City, Texas and passed away on January 28, 2013 in Lufkin, Texas. He worked as an Inspector in Non-Destructive Testing and was a Baptist by faith. He enjoyed hunting and spending time with his dog, Ajax. He is preceded in death by his parents: Donnis F. Shepherd and Helen L. (Dent) Shepherd. Mr. Shepherd is survived by his brothers, Don Shepherd and wife Mary of Corrigan, Texas, Dixie Walker of Texas City, Texas, Joe Collins of Pearland, Texas, John Czerwinski of Spring, Texas; three nephews; one great-niece; and other family and friends.
