"Services for Hugh B. Wagoner, 89, 1610 N. Washington Ave., are scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Wilbur Mendel officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Mr. Wagoner died Monday at Medical Center Hospital after a short illness. He was born Jan. 25, 1897, in Montague. He married Iantha DeSpain on July 3, 1926, in Cisco. Mr. Wagoner came to Odessa in 1938. He was a veteran of World War I and founder and owner of Wagoner Machine and Supply Co. He was a long-time member of the Downtown Rotary Club and active in the original purchase of Buffalo Trail Council Boy Scout Ranch at Fort Davis. Survivors include his wife; a son, Dan Wagoner of Odessa; a daughter, Dr. Pat Morrison of Liberty, Mo.; and five grandchildren." The Odessa American (Odessa, Texas), January 13, 1987
