m. 1) John Hood Hicks on Jan 9, 1927 in Polk Co., TN - Children: Nela, Odessa & Ralph m. 2) William Fletcher Lee on May 10, 1936 in Polk Co., TN Daily Post Athenian December 6, 1999 Julia Ann Lee, 89, of Etowah, passed away Monday morning, Dec. 6, 1999, at Woods Memorial Hospital. A native of Monroe County, she was a resident of Polk County for most of her life. A daughter of the late Bill and Mary Hammons Cunningham, she was a member of the Springtown Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her first husband, John Hood Hicks; her second husband, Fletcher Lee; a sister, Stella Garland; and a brother, William Ralph Hicks. Survivors include three daughters, Nela Burchfield of Brooksville, Fla., Odessa Laughinghouse of Augusta, Ga., and Artie Webb of Tellico Plains; one son and daughter-in-law, Clyde Henry and Brenda Lee of Reliance; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Springtown Baptist Church with the Rev. Ray Ingram officiating. Burial will be in Morgan Cemetery in Springtown. The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday evening at Bordwine Funeral Home. Bordwine Funeral Home of Etowah is in charge of arrangements. Obit provided by Glenda Rowland
