She married John Johnson Brooks. She lived with her mother and cared for her until her mother died in 1925. She was 44 and he was 50 when they married. They had no children. They were first cousins, with this mothers being sisters (Mary Ann Simmons Williams and Martha A. Simmons Brooks). John and Sally raised pigeons.
