Gridley Herald, The (CA) - Wednesday, March 19, 2008 Edward L Fajmon, 83 A Graveside Service will be held Thursday, March 20, 2008 at 1:00 P.M. at Gridley-Biggs Cemetery for Edward L. Fajmon, 83 of Biggs, California. He passed away Tuesday, March 11, 2008 at Biggs-Gridley Memorial Hospital of natural causes. He was born January 9, 1925 in Lincoln, Nebraska. He was a long time resident of Biggs. He served in the US Army during WW II and was stationed in Pacific and was the recipient of the Purple Heart. He was a member of the Warren H. McCutcheon Post 5731 - Gridley VFW. Edward enjoyed woodworking and was an avid rose gardener. He was preceded in death by his wife, Goldie Fajmon, 1 son, Eddie Fajmon and 1 sister. He is survived by 2 daughters: Mary & husband Dan Navarro of Biggs and Faye Bennett of Missouri; and 1 son, Bob & wife Shirley Hipes of Idaho. He is also survived by 2 brothers: Clarence Snurr and Leonard Snurr both of Nebraska and 1 sister, Ruth Snurr also of Nebraska; 11 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. A Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 19, 2008 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at Gridley-Block Funeral Chapel. Pastor Randy Davidson of Oroville will officiate at the services. Interment will be held at Gridley-Biggs Cemetery. Contributions to the Biggs-Gridley Memorial Hospital Hovlid Unit are suggested by the family. Arrangements are entrusted to Gridley-Block Funeral Chapel.
