Bio

Graveside services for Melba Greer, 87, of Clovis were held today at Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens. The Rev. Stan White officiated. Steed-Todd Funeral Home handled arrangements. Mrs. Greer died Saturday at High Plains Nursing Center in Clovis. She was born March 25, 1925, in Borden County, Texas. She married Rufus Greer on Feb. 12, 1926, in Curry County. She was a resident of Curry County until 1946 when she moved to Albuquerque. She later moved to Broadview and then to Farmington until 1980. Mrs. Greer was a member of Westbrook Baptist Church. She is survived by one daughter, Doris Scott of Clovis; one son, Jerry Greer of Clovis; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Published in the Clovis News Journal September 8, 1997.
