James F. Thomas, of Princeton, Texas, passed away January 1, 2013 at the age of 72. He was born December 26, 1940, in Princeton, to Ben F. Thomas Jr. and Ola Lee (Taylor) Thomas. On September 2, 1958, James married Barbara Fort, in McKinney, Texas. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Thomas of Princeton; sons, James F. Thomas, Jr. of Cuero, Texas, Jeffery D. Thomas and wife Becky of Princeton; daughter, Judy D. Bates and husband David of Princeton; grandchildren, Melissa Dreher and husband Jarred of Princeton, Christina Bates of McKinney, Nicole Thomas of Princeton, Brittany Conoly and husband Jared of Princeton, Nathan Phennel of Australia and Garrett Phennel of McKinney; four great-grandchildren; brother, Don Thomas of Marlin, Texas; sisters, Dorothy Nevil of Garland, Texas, Trudy Braswell of Leonard, Texas and Linda Dellinger of Locksburg, Arkansas. James is preceded in death by his parents; son, Christopher Lynn Thomas; one brother; and one sister.
