Lake Charles American Press 1-22-2013. Age 90. Funeral services for Elna James Beesson were Wednesday, January 23, 2013 in the First Baptist Church in Pitkin with the Reverend Brian Thurman officiating. Committal services followed in the Blue Branch Cemetery in Pitkin. Mrs. Beeson, 90, of Pitkin, entered eternal rest on Sunday, January 20, 2012 in her residence. She was born on July 12, 1922 in Cravens to the union of Willie and Evie Gunter James. She was a homemaker, loving aunt and friend. She is preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Evie Gunter James; her husband of forty-four years, Ernest "Pete" Beeson; and three sisters, Ruby Sybille, Carrie Permenter, and Clara Buchanan. She leaves behind her loving family to cherish her memory, one maternal niece of Hineston; four maternal nephews; one paternal niece of Cravens, and two paternal nephews; special friend of Pitkin; and a host of family and friends. Services were under the guidance of White Oaks Funeral Home, Oakdale. Published in The Town Talk on January 22, 2013
