Bio
On Jan. 18, 2013, surrounded by his family, MSGT Alva Don Hervey, U.S. Air Force (Ret.) passed away from the burdens of his life into the eternal love of God at David Grant Medical Center, Fairfield. He was born in 1927 in central Oklahoma on dry land farm during the dust bowl and Depression. He spent his life serving God, country, family and community. Alva Hervey is survived by his wife of 63 years, Anna Ruth; their three sons, Donald Wayne Hervey of Oklahoma, and Matthew James Hervey and Gregory John Hervey both of Fairfield; sister, Marninell C. White of Norman, Okla.; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alva Buck Hervey and Genoa Hervey; and by his eldest son, Fritz William Hervey.
