Woodrow Wilson, 88, of Las Vegas, Nev., went to be with our Lord on Friday, June 6, 2008. He was born Nov. 29, 1919, in Center Ridge, Ark., and was a retired sheet metal worker and lived in Las Vegas, Nev., for the past 45 years and had served in the U.S. Army. He was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his parents, King Wilson and Ider Anderson; a brother, Finis Wilson; two sisters, Gladys Andrews and Nieve Hill; and a grandson, Monty Warren. He is survived by two daughters, Judy Wilson Warren of Atkins and Faye Dean Wilson Nipps and husband David of England, Ark.; a granddaughter, Mitzi Chance; three greatgrandsons, Chance Jernigan, Jeremy Chance and Zachary Warren, all of Atkins. He was a very kind and loving person and was much loved by his family and friends. His granddaughter described him as a "dandy". He grew the best tomatoes for all his friends in Las Vegas. He will be greatly missed for everyone who knew him loved him. Graveside services are pending at Wolf Cemetery in Oppelo. His mother was Ider Maybelle Wagley who married Thomas Jefferson Halbrook then Walter Anderson then King Wilson.
