Bio
Memorial services for Erma C Fenley, 70, were held Monday, August 10, 1987, at 2:00 o'clock in the afternoon at the Church of Christ in Shamrock. Wayford Smith, pastor of the Shamrock Church of Christ, officiated. Pallbearers were Cottie Tarbet, Jim Brandon, I.A. Brooks, Joe Hall, Harold Holmans and Don Conger. Interment was in Shamrock Cemetery under the direction of Richerson Funeral Home. Mrs. Fenley died August 8, 1987, at 8:40 in the morning at her home. Born September 25, 1916, in Melburne, Arkansas, she moved to Wheeler County as an infant. Erma Corene Scoggins and J.B. Fenley were married in 1938 in Sayre, Oklahoma. She was a housewife and a member of the Church of Christ. Survivors include her husband of the home, 414 South Texas, Shamrock; two sons: Tommy of Shamrock and Johnny B. of Irving; a daughter, Sammy Winkle of Okemah, Oklahoma; a stepdaughter, Janette Durham of Enid, Oklahoma; a sister, Mrs. Robert Terry of Lela; a brother, Lester Scoggins of Lela; 11 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Shamrock Texan August 13, 1987 Two daughters were born to Erma Scoggins and Curtis Guynes: Sammy Jean (FAG 175111534) and Patricia Ann (FAG 185764466). After the divorce the girls were adopted by Henry and Allene Walker.
