J. F. Novacek MILLER – The funeral service for Joseph F. Novacek, 65, who died Wednesday at St. John Regional Medical Center will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at St. Ann’s Catholic church with the Rev. L. J. Dudek officiating. Burial will be in St. Ann’s cemetery. Joseph Novacek was born June 25, 1908, the son of Frank and Mary Novacek at Brainard, Neb. He moved to a farm north of Miller in 1954 and farmed there since that time. He married the former Evelyn Harris on Aug. 20, 1935 at David City, Neb. Survivors include his widow, Evelyn, Miller; two daughters, Mrs. Robert (Carol) De Geest, Miller, and Mrs. James (Connie) Hare, Pierre; two sons, Jim and Gene, both of Miller; one brother, Edward, David city, Neb.; two sisters, Lilian Novacek and Helen Venus, both of David City, Neb.; eight grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one sister. Funeral arrangements were announced by the Reck Funeral Home.
