Abilene Reporter July 1, 1999 Georgia Sheppard HASKELL - Georgia Sheppard, 81, formerly of Bowie, died Tuesday in an Abilene hospital. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, July 2, at the Owens-Brumley-Burgess-Fry Funeral Home Chapel in Bowie with the Rev. Terri Haralson and Max Bell officiating. Burial will be in the Sunset Cemetery, directed by Holden-McCauley Funeral Directors of Haskell. Mrs. Sheppard was born in Maybelle in Baylor County. She was the widow of Herbert Edwin Sheppard, whom she married on Sept. 7, 1940 in Rio Grande City. She was a homemaker and a Baptist. Survivors include one stepson, Max Bell of Bowie; two grandchildren, Ann Brandon and Walter Brandon both of Haskell; three nieces; two nephews; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
