Services will be held from the Methodist Church in Texhoma Sunday at 2:30 p.m. for Mrs. Margarite May Batterson, 82, Texhoma, who died in a Guymon hospital about 8:30 a.m. Friday. Rev. Mitchell Lowry, pastor will officiate. Interment will be in the Texhoma Cemetery under the direction of Dawson-Welch Funeral Home. Born March 28, 1877, at Parkersburg, Iowa, Mrs. Batterson was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sam McFarland. She was married April 12, 1899, to George N. Batterson at Laurens, Iowa. They moved to Texas County in 1906 and farmed north of Texhoma until a few years ago when they moved into town. Batterson preceded his wife in death in 1950 Mrs. Batterson was a member of the Texhoma Methodist Church. She is survived by one daughter. Mrs. Buster Gum, Texhoma, two brothers, Robert McFarland, Amarillo, and Earl McFarland, Garber, and two grandchildren.
