She was predeceased by her husband, Roy Paul Pollastrini, in March of 2004; and her daughter, Janet Neely in January of 2006. She is survived by her son in law, David; her niece, Lorraine and her husband Robert; and her sister, Elsie. ~~~~~~~~~ Dorothy May Pollastrini (February 11, 1922 - January 15, 2013) Dorothy May Pollastrini Dorothy Mae Pollastrini, 90, of Fresno, CA, born February 11, 1922 in Texas and went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, January 15, 2013, in Fresno CA. Dorothy was devoted to her beloved husband, Roy and they spent most of their married life in the Sanger, CA area working in packing houses and farming. Dorothy always gave generously of her time to help others in need. She was completely dedicated to her family and will always be remembered, not only for her love, but for her superb cooking and baking. Family members will always have wonderful memories of the many Thanksgivings, Christmases, and Easters that were made so special because of her. She also enjoyed oil painting, making beautiful crafts for the holidays. She was renowned for the Strawberry Shortcake dolls that she made for sale. She was predeceased by her husband, Roy Paul Pollastrini, in March of 2004; and her daughter, Janet Neely in January of 2006. She was also predeceased by her two younger sisters, Elsie DiPierri and Agatha “Fran” Bennett, her only grandson, William “Billy” Helzer, and her niece, Nancy Polkinghorne. She is survived by her son in law; her brother-in-law, her nieces, and her husband Robert, and her nephew, her cousin, and her daughter, and her loving, devoted, and long time friend, and her husband. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 19, at Belmont Memorial Park in Fresno. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Yost & Webb Funeral Home.
