Dorothy was the daughter of Raymond and Christina (Tyrs) Duff. She graduated from High School in 1947, and married Stanley Reihs. Stan and Dorothy moved to Sunnyside, WA early in their marriage to live on the farm, and this is where they lived for the next 50 years. Besides helping on the farm, she worked as a nursing assistant for Dr. Hall in Sunnyside, as a bookkeeper for Valley Ready Mix in Sunnyside, and retired from the personally rewarding career as a teacher's assistant for the Sunnyside School District. She always enjoyed children and proved it by being a wonderful grandmother and volunteering at Children's Village. She was very involved in many activities including gardening, sewing, and cooking. After moving to Yakima in 1996 she continued to be active in one of her passions, being active in the Presbyterian Church. One other life pleasure was music. She would never miss a chance to dance or sing. She is survived by her husband Stanley Reihs of Yakima; son Steve (Sylvia) Reihs of Yakima; daughter Dalyce (David) Knight of Ontario, OR; brother Ray Duff of Vancouver, WA; sisters Juanita Kimerjon of San Francisco, CA and Evelyn Coufal of Lincoln, NE, and grandchildren Kristy Knight, Karly (Josh) Spurgeon, Becky (Kyle) Belton and Jamie Reihs, and by great-grandchildren Kendall and Kellby Weems, Jhett Spurgeon, and Nick and Ryan Belton. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Aaron and Harold, and sisters Geraldine and Delores.
