Edwin Alfred "Tony" Tonn, age 90, a lifelong resident of Williamson County, Texas passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 13, 2013 with his family by his side. Burial will follow at St. Peter Lutheran Cemetery, in Walburg. Tony was born on April 11, 1922 in Williamson County to Ferdinand H. Tonn and Olga Emilie Braun Tonn. He married the love of his life, Viola Isabell Nord, on October 27, 1945 in Williamson County. Tony spent his days mastering his craft in ranching and agriculture. He had a passion for horses, loved the thrill of hunting, enjoyed working his ranch, planting gardens and casting a line from time to time at his favorite fishing hole. He was a faithful member of St. Peter Lutheran Church, in Walburg where he also served on the Church Council and the School Board. Tony will be greatly missed, yet his memory will live on for generations to come. Tony was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Marie Seaman. To cherish his memory, Tony leaves behind his wife, Viola Isabell Tonn of Georgetown, Texas; daughters: Jo Ann Hall and husband James of Florence, Texas, Kathy Boyd and husband Lowell of Georgetown, Texas and Susan Wilson and husband Richard of Jarrell, Texas; brother, Ferd L. Tonn and wife Laverne of Georgetown, Texas; grandchildren: Sandy Walker and husband Mark of Florence, Texas, Cassie Howard and husband Jason of Pflugerville, Texas, Leslie Mobley and husband Dillon of Stephenville, Texas, Reid Wilson and wife Sabrina of Jarrell, Texas, Jennifer Hausenfluke and husband Jacob of Uvalde, Texas and Kyle Wilson of Jarrell, Texas; as well as nine great grandchildren.
