Obituary: James E. Vincent Sr. Nov. 23, 1922 - Aug. 10, 1999 Services for James E. Vincent Sr., 76, of Gause, Texas, are set for 10 a.m. Saturday at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan. The Rev. Jimmy Sanders of Gause Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Bryan City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday and from 8 a.m. to the time of the services Saturday at the funeral home. Mr. Vincent died Tuesday at his home. He was born in Bryan and had lived in Gause most of his life. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II and was a member of VFW Post No. 4962 in Bryan and the Disabled Veterans. He was a 1946 graduate of Texas A&M University. He was past president of the Bryan Evening Lion's Club and a life member of the Lion's Club Crippled Children's Camp. He also was past president of the: Bronco Club and was a member of the 460th Bomber Group. He was preceded in death by his former wife, Alice Marie Vincent. Survivors include his wife, Rose M. Vincent of Gause; a son and daughter-in-law, Milton C. "Bubba" and Diane Vincent of Corinth, Texas; a daughter and son-in-law, Jimann and Scott Harmon of Garland, Texas; a sister and brother-in-law, Doris and Ray Sanders of College Station; and nine grandchildren.
