Elizabeth Ryza, 89, of La Grange, Texas, passed away on Friday, January 11, 2013 in Austin, Texas. Elizabeth was born in La Grange, Texas on May 31, 1923, the daughter of the late John J. Ryza and Rosie (Dybala) Ryza. She spent her life taking care of her land and cattle. She is survived by two nephews: Daniel Horak of Houston, Texas and Mark Horak of McKinney, Texas; three nieces: Betty Doyle and husband, Bill, of Houston, Texas, Cynthia Rebel of Ammansville, Texas and Judy Poore of Beaumont, Texas; one great niece: Michelle Buchanan and husband, Todd, of Pearland, Texas; two great nephews: Byron Doyle and wife, Dora, of Deer Park, Texas and Michael Gilliland of Channelview, Texas; and numerous great great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers: Bernard and Edmund Ryza; and sister, Lillian Horak. (Koenig and Strickland Funeral Home, La Grange)
