Dennis K. Kracman, age 70, died Friday, January 11, 2013 at his home in Bellwood, Nebraska Dennis K. Kracman was born August 25, 1942 in to Leonard C. and Augusta A. (Mick) Kracman at St. Marys Hospital in Columbus. He lived in the Bellwood area all his life. Dennis attended rural school around Bellwood and Columbus High School. He served in the United States Army Reserves from March 1961 to September 1968. Dennis married Vera Svitak on July 3, 1968. He farmed in his younger years. He worked in the gravel business for most of his life at various outfits including Ace Sand & Gravel, Lone Star Sand & Gravel, Central Sand & Gravel and at Breslau Construction until being disabled. He was a member of the American Legion Post #327 in Bellwood. He is survived by by Wife: Vera of Bellwood Daughter: Denise (Roy) Harris of Linwood Son: Todd L. Kracman of Bellwood Eight grandchildren: Katie (Harris) Bowens of Norfolk, Joey Harris of Linwood, Josh Harris of Norfolk, Laura Harris of Lincoln, Lindsay Kracman of Lincoln, Todd M. (Jessica) Kracman of Columbus, Mitch & Brock Kracman of Platte Center, 7 great grandchildren Sister: Bonnie Kracman of Columbus, nephew: Shannon (Angie) Ramaekers of Bellwood, Niece Maureen Ramaekers of Lincoln, sister-in-laws: Marsela Rudolf of Palmer, Leveda (Dale) Nielson of Chapman, Norma (Leon) Neemeyer of York, brother-in-law and sister-in-law: Richard and Mary Svitak of Central City, numerous nieces and nephews, aunts: Lorene Mick of Columbus, special friends Vern and Barb Ramaekers, and third son Puppy Keno. He was preceded in death by his parents, father-in-law and mother in-law: Stanley and Dorothy Svitak, brother-in-law Leroy Rudolf and aunts and uncles.
