Funeral services for Lella Harris Stripling, age 103, of Bullard are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan.12, 2013, at Church of Christ in Bullard with Glenn Cogburn and Tim Grounds officiating. Burial will be in Bullard Cemetery. Services are under direction of Autry Funeral Home in Jacksonville. Mrs. Stripling Passed away Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2013, in Tyler. She was born Oct. 31, 1909 at Peachtree Village in Tyler County. Mrs Stripling was a member of Church of Christ in Bullard, a homemaker, and work with the Bullard Cemetery Association from 1964 to present date. She was a 1928 graduate of Bullard High School. Mrs Stripling was named to the Wall of Honor at Bullard ISD with her late husband Fred Stripling. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Richard and Laura Ella Hughes Harris; husband of 64 years, Fred Stripling; daughter, Peggy Ruth Edwards; son Don Harris Stripling; brothers, M.H., Elmer and Homer Harris; sister, Lella Richardson; twin sister, Ella Keele; and grandson, James David DuPree. Survivors include her daughter, Fredda DuPree and husband Charles of Bullard; five grandchildren, Don and Rae Edwards, Kynda and Randy Marion, Douglas and Gwen DuPree, Margaret and Dana Nelson and Daniel and Kim DuPree; 10 great-grandchildren,Jamie Duvak {Brent}, Josh Marion{Tara}, Blake Marion {Lindsay}, Laura Luscombe {Aaron}, Sarah DuPree, Jason Edwards and Bruce Edwards, Jessica DuPree, Emily Dupree and Caleb DuPree; seven great-great-grandchildren, Caden Duvak, Chloe Lella Duvak and Cruze Duvak, Bryson Luscombe, Libby Luscombe, Braylon Marion and Riley Marion; and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Tony Foster, Dana Nelson, Billy Aaron Harris,Douglas DuPree, Daniel DuPree, Don Edwards, Randy Marion and Bruce Stripling. Honorary pallbearers will be brother-in-law, Jack Stripling, great-grandsons, Josh Marion, Blake Marion, Caleb DuPree, Jason Edwards and Bruce Edwards, and great-great-grandsons, Caden Duvak, Bryson Luscombe, Cruze Duvak and Braylon Marion.
