Joy Cathewe Moler was born May 31, 1926 near New Liberty, Oklahoma to Faye Edith and Beverly "Sug" Bramlett. He passed away January 5, 2013 at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 86 years, 7 months and 4 days. Joy grew up the Bulo and New Liberty communities. He attended and graduated from New Liberty high school never missing one day throughout his four years. After graduation, he entered the United States Army and was stationed in Germany during World War II. After his discharge, he was married to Ollie Lou (Sites) Moler at Elk City, Oklahoma on June 4, 1947. Joy and Ollie moved north of the Bulo community where Joy farmed and they made their home. In 1950 they moved to Sayre where Joy started working for Leeway Sooner Freight driving a truck until 1964 when they moved back to the farm where Joy bought and sold used farm machinery. In 1980 Joy started moving mobile homes for himself and eventually for S&S Oilfield until his retirement in 2010. Joy enjoyed caring for his dogs. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters, Dollie Cox and Delma Neill, 1 brother Brandon Moler, grandson, James Leon Moler. He is survived by his wife, Ollie Lou, of the home; 2 sons, Dale Cathewe Moler and wife, and Trisha, Sayre, OK and Robert George Moler and wife, and Sharon, Elk City, OK; 1 daughter, Linda Kay Moler, Lake Isabella, CA; 1 brother, Joyce Moler and wife, Yvonne, Pampa, TX; 5 grandsons, Jason Cathewe Moler and wife, Jeannie, Jarred Bramlett Moler and wife, Ann, Joshua Abraham Moler, Torey Hensley and wife, Amy and Coby Beals; 2 granddaughters, Casey Hensley and Amber Hensley; 13 great grandchildren, Bryce Moler, Brieanna Moler, Blake Hensley, Brittney Hensley, Brock Hensley, Briana Hensley, Mai Tran, Dylan Dyer, Zachary Beals, Kolton Beals, Kelcie Beals, Tyson Eslin and Elijah Cummings; 1 great grandchild on the way, very dear friend, Kathy Castro and husband, Joe, and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation: Monday 1/7, 1-9 Tuesday 1/8 - Wednesday 1/9, 9-9 Thursday 1/10, 8-Service Time Service: Services will be held Thursday, January 10, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at Rose Chapel officiated by Billy Clabaugh. Burial will be at Buffalo Cemetery under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Service.
