xEdris Jean (Wright) O'Neal Jul 9, 1930 - Jun 9, 2008 Edris Jean "Maw Maw" O'Neal, joined her husband Charles, parents Henry and Veda Wright, brothers Edward and Paul Wright, and sisters Margaret Lovelady and Shirley Neel in the kingdom of heaven on June 9, 2008, following a courageous battle against cancer. She is survived by her loving family, daughter Teresa Parker and husband John, daughter Cathy O'Neal, and son David O'Neal and wife Cheryl; grandchildren Jason, Scott and Eric Parker, Tanya Wenner and husband Reagan, Lisa Patterson and husband Nathan, Sean and Seth O'Neal; great-grandchildren Samuel and Daniel Wenner, Jeremiah, Haley and Cody Patterson; sister Mary Sadler and husband W. A. "Boots"; and her beloved brothers and sisters in Christ at Northside Baptist Church especially Pastor Rick Lamb and his wife and the ladies in her Sunday school class who have shared in her burdens and her blessings. She was devoted to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and her family, always showing generosity and selflessness to others. She was a blessing to all those who were fortunate enough to be a part of her life. She will be greatly missed. She was a loving wife of 50 years, Charles' brown-eyed girl. She was devoted to God, her family and friends. She had a Christian home welcoming all who entered with smiles, hugs and home-cooked meals. Supportive of her church home and her sweet Sunday school class, she served as an example of strength and faith as her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren witnessed her calm in the storms of life. She praised her Lord by giving selflessly to all who knew her, giving of her time and love and focusing on the needs of others. She was a "heaven of love" and "a listening ear." She taught what it means to be loving and loved. Proverbs 31:28: "Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her.
