Bio

CURTIS PILCHER 2/10/1920 - 12/18/2012 Curtis passed away peacefully napping in his new lazyboy recliner after a fun filled weekend at the age of 92. He is survived by his son Dale (wife Linda); grandchildren Jennifer, Brian and Bradley (Stacey) and great grand baby Natalie and son Bob (Ruth). Preceded in death by Leona, his loving wife of 55 years; daughter Paula Talbot and grandson Matthew Talbot. Curtis was Part Owner of Riverside County Lumber (35 yrs as Vice President and Warehouse Supervisor) and was a member of Faith Community Church. He was proud to serve in World War II with the U.S. Navy. He loved the American Flag flying it daily for all the Veterans that fought and died for our county and honoring every Veteran giving us freedom in the U.S. He enlisted at the age of 16 and was given a Honorable Discharge after serving his country for 4 years. Curtis lived life to the fullest, always smiling and having fun. He was a Happy Go Lucky Guy! He'll always be loved and never forgotten! Graveside service will be on January 10th at 12pm in Staging Area 1 of the National Cemetery at 22495 Van Buren Blvd, Riverside. Published in Press-Enterprise from January 6 to January 8, 2013.
