SAN ANGELO Gloria Strakos Trojcak of San Angelo passed away on Thursday, Dec. 27, 2012, in a local care center. Family visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2013, at Johnson's Funeral Home. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 3, 2013, at Johnson's Funeral Home, followed by graveside service in Belvedere Memorial Park. She was born to Arthur and Sadie Beauchaine on July 25, 1925. She was preceded in death by her parents; and husbands Dan Strakos and Victor Trojcak. Gloria had a great love for animals, especially cats. She collected anything pertaining to cats. She was a longtime nurses aide. She loved fishing, gardening, needle work and watching old Westerns and sports. She was known for her "famous" chopped apple cake. Followed by graveside services at Belvedere Cemetery. She was born to Arthur and Sadie Beauchaine on July 25, 1925. She was preceded in death by her parents and husbands: Dan Strakos and Victor Trojcak. Gloria is survived by two sons: Dany Strakos and wife, Shirley, Rob Strakos and wife, Bridgett; two daughters: Dianne Fussell and husband Jim, Sylvia Andes and husband Herb ; and a sister, Sylvia Leacock; Five grand children: Rodney Strakos, Dany Mark Strakos, Joy Elliott, Jodi Brinker and Julie Oberg . Seven great grandchildren: Brendan, Kassidy, Robby, Ranger, Jacob, April and Justin. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Gloria had a great love for animals, especially cats. She collected anything pertaining to cats. She was a long time nurses aid. She loved fishing, gardening, needle work and watching old westerns and sports. She was known for her "famous" chopped apple cake. Her family wishes to express their thanks to the staff at Baptist Memorial and a special caregiver, Maria "Mary" Gonzales.
