THE LAMAR COUNTY ECHO, Thu., Oct. 4, 1979, p. 8: 'Mrs. Eula Cooper 87, of 9S NW 23rd, died Friday, September 28, 1979, in Cherry Street Manor. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon in the chapel of Steele and Thomas Funeral Home with the Rev. Hubert Redus officiating. Interment was made in Shady Grove Cemetery. Eula Green Cooper was born in Pattonville on February 19, 1892, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Allison Green. She was married to Dock Russell on January 14, 1912, his death occurring on March 17, 1948. She then married J. Y. Cooper in 1954 in Boswell, Oklahoma, his death occurring on August 12, 1973. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Farrell Shelton of Paris; one brother, Harless Green of Dallas; two sisters, Miss Ara Green of Paris, and Mrs. Lula Smith of Garland; two grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were J. H. Smith, George Spencer, Dan Scott, Russell Gifford, Bill Bolton and Joe Sale.
