Parents: George M. and Mary Letzke Furby He entered the U.S. Army on May 4, 1943, at Fort Leavenworth, Kan., served during World War II and was discharged on Dec. U, 1945. He married Monica Grudzinski on Nov. 16, 1946, at Smith Center, Kansas.
