Bio

LOWTHER - Buffalo, Wyo. Martha V. Lowther, 59, of Buffalo died of cancer Tuesday evening at the Johnson County Hospital. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the Adams Funeral Home chapel, the Rev. Richard Henderson of the Buffalo Congregational Church officiating. Burial will be at Willow Grove Cemetery. Mrs. Lowther was born November 25, 1916 in Malta, Mont., the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Everett Higgins. She moved to Buffalo with her parents in 1924. A graduate of Johnson County High School, she had worked in the soil conservation office in Buffalo for 19 years. In 1952 she married Max O. Lowther, her second husband, in Worland, Wyo., Mrs. Lowther is suvived by her widower; one son, Jack Mauck, of Longmont, Colo; two daughhers, Vivienne Mauck and Jodie Waggoner, both of Denver, Colo; a brother, Carl Higgins, and a sister, Vivian O’Connor, both of Oakdale, Calif., and six grandchildren.
