Bio

Wilbert "Willie" N. Reinartz was born April 21, 1920 in Davison County, SD to John and Anna (Thuringer) Reinartz. He attended Ethan High School. He worked for Pan O'Gold Baking Company in Mitchell, transferring to plants in Iowa in 1955 and to Minnesota in 1966. In 1971, he moved to Milwaukie, OR and worked for Davidson Baking Company and Mazza Cheese Sales. He retired in 1985. He moved to Salem in 2011. He married Florence Herrmann on May 17, 1943 in Mitchell. She died in 2003. Besides his wife, he was preceded in death by an infant son, Dennis, and a brother, Edward. His sister, Elanora Welch, Mitchell, died two days after him, on May 27, 2012. He is survived by a son Randy (Karen), Sioux Falls; daughters: Karen (Tim) Villnave, Salt Lake City, and Janet Baker, Salem, OR; brother Milford (Kay), Fresno, CA; grandchildren Kelly (Barry) Powell and Andrew Reinartz, Sioux Falls, Melissa Villnave, Holladay, UT, and Catherine Villnave, Baltimore, MD; and one great-granddaughter, Stella Powell, Sioux Falls.
