Elbert Dwayne Daniel Elbert Dwayne Daniel was born April 21, 1923, in Dew. Dwayne returned to Freestone County in 1991 after retirement from 37 years of service with General Dynamics in Fort Worth. He was ordained as a deacon at Ridglea West Baptist Church in 1970. He served as deacon at Northside Baptist in Corsicana, Cornerstone Baptist in Fairfield, and First Baptist in Buffalo where he became inactive due to his age and health in 2004. He passed away Saturday, July 25, 2009, at his residence. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Elbert and Thelma Bradshaw Daniel, and brother, Doyle Daniel. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Marie Rash Daniel; children, LIVING; 16 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews, in-laws and many wonderful friends. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 28, at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home in Fairfield. Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 29, at Griffin-Roughton Chapel in Fairfield with Brother Ed Ridge officiating. Interment will follow at Eureka Cemetery.
