Roy D. Akin Passes Away In Houston Roy Dewey Akin, formerly of Collin County, died Thursday in a Houston nursing home. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Culleoka Baptist Church, conducted by Revs. J. D. Craft and Jack Blackwell with burial in the Princeton Cemetery, Crouch Moore Funeral Home directing. The deceased was a member of the North Baptist Church in McKinney. He was born January 7, 1900 the son of Henry Stephen and Annie White Akin, and was a retired farmer. Survivors are three daughters, Mrs. Sandra Todd, Mrs. Edna Fay Jones, Mrs. Paula Jones, all of Houston; two sons. Kenneth Ray Akin, Garland; Lloyd Fred Akin, Houston; two sisters, Mrs. Scott Johnston, Randlett, Okla., Mrs. G. L. McGraw, McKinney; two brothers, Everett Akin, Monroe, La., Floyd Akin, Poteau, Okla., 12 grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
