In 1950 they built their small house in Miller where they made their home. Her husband, John, passed away on April 15, 1953. Even though confined to a wheelchair she continued to make her home here. She passed away at Memorial Hospital on May 7, 1962, at the age of 74 years, 3 months and 8 days. She is survived by her seven children; one sister, Mrs. Hattie Michelson of Sturgis; one brother, W.E. Holmes of Fargo, N. D., 19 grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
