LeVerne Vogel, 78 yrs., of Ragley, LA, passed from this life on Tuesday, December 25, 2012, in Baton Rouge, LA. LeVerne was born on November 9, 1934 to Jesse Coleman and Modie Miers Coleman at Longville, LA. She lived most of her life in Longville and Ragley and attended Memorial Baptist Church, Longville. She received her Bachelor and Master's Degree in education from McNeese University. For 20 years she taught at South Beauregard Elementary School. One of her most enjoyable and rewarding teaching assignmemts was with the gifted children's program. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. Survivors include daughter and son-in-law of Baton Rouge, LA; sister and brother-in-law of Baton Rouge, LA; two brothers and one sister-in-law. She was preceded in death by her husband Herman Vogel and her parents and a brother. Funeral services were Saturday, December 29, 2012 at Labby Memorial Funeral Home of DeRidder, LA. Minister officiating was the Rev. Mark Norwood. Burial followed in the Barentine Cemetery in Longville. Services were under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of DeRidder, LA.
