Bio

Albert was the son of Tom F. Houchin and Anna F. Lee. His mother went on to marry a Mr. Tucker and then John Dennis. Albert married Anna Nye March 8, 1916 in Custer, Oklahoma. ROSWELL DAILY RECORD FRIDAY MAY 9, 1930 PAGE THREE Albert Houchin Dies Albert F. Houchin, aged thirty-nine years, passed away at the family home, 317 East Seventh street yesterday afternoon at two thirty o'clock. Mr. Houchin has been a resident of Roswell for the past eleven years and is well known in this city. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church and .... circles. He was a member pf the Odd Fellows and Woodmen of the World. Aside from his wife he is survived by one daughter, Betty Virginia. He is also survived by his mother, Ms. Annie Dennis of Lamar, Colorado, one sister, Mrs. L. M. Asmos of Santa Anna, California, two brothers, C G. Houchin of Lamar, Colorado and Charles Houchin of Butler, Oklahoma and one half-brother, Ennis Tucker also of Butler, Oklahoma. Funeral services will be held tomorrow (Saturday) afternoon at three thirty o'clock at the Talmage Chapel with Rev A. W. Huffman of the Nazarene Church assisted by Dr. W. E. Goodsell. Music will be provided from the choir of the Presbyterian Church. The casket bearers will be H H. Ward, J. W. Payne, Vance Wilkins and John Summersgill. Burial will be made at South Park with Talmage Mortuary directing.
