Married on 12 Feb 1895 in Sugar Grove Twp, Mercer County, Pennsylvania by minister S. S. Burton. Contributor: Shirley McMunn (46527116) The marriage date of 12 Feb. 1895 on some records is in error. Marriage License No. 4413 was issued on 7 March 1895; issuance of the license was published in the local paper on 8 March 1895; record of marriage received 13 March 1895, stating that the marriage was performed on the "12 day of Feby [sic] A.D. 1895." The entire document is in the hand of the court clerk, including the certification by the minister. The marriage must have been performed on 12 March (not February) 1895. Blanche's birth date in 1875 (age 4 in 1880 Federal Census) is more likely correct than the date of birth calculated from her marriage license of January 1873 ("age 22 as of January 1895"). 1880 Federal Census, East Fallowfield, Crawford Co., Pennsylvania, 1 June 1880: David McClanahan [sic], 47, farmer Sarah McClanahan, 40, wife Ulissis G.
