Bio

Orlando Poole and his wife, in the fall of 1836, moved to Texas and settled near New Boston, Bowie County, farming and planting. The Pooles kept their home in Bowie County until after the close of the Civil war, when their son, Robert A. Poole brought his family to Johnson County and was subsequently followed by his parents, who spent the rest of their days in Johnson County
