J. Nadine Erickson, age 78, passed away on December 11, 2012, at the Pomeroy Care Center. Jannie Nadine Dittrich was born on September 26, 1934, at Burwell, NE. She was the daughter of Robert Silas and Iva Beatrice (Waters) Dittrich. Nadine was educated in Burwell through the 8th grade. In 1948, her family moved to Stanton, NE, where she graduated from high school in1952. On October 22, 1954, she married Richard Daniell at Williams Air Force Base in Gilbert, AZ. To this union, two daughters were born: Shari Jo and Jan Marie. In 1975, Nadine attended school in Omaha and became a Certified Dental Assistant. On July 14, 1979, Nadine married Merlin Gust Erickson at the Evangelical Covenant Church near Pomeroy. Nadine loved to sew many things, especially quilts that she gave away for others to enjoy. Survivors include her husband of thirty-three years: Merlin; daughters: Shari Jo (Roger) Burger of Lenox and Jan (Richard) Maschman of Wellston, OK; thirteen grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; sister: Sherrill Dittrich (Lyle) Hennessey of Edmond, OK; brother: Robert (Ramona) Dittrich of Ceresco, NE and many nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends. Nadine was preceded in death by her parents and sister, DeLoris Dittrich Striker. Funeral Thursday December 13, 2012, 10:30 AM at Evangelical Covenant Church, Pomeroy, Iowa Visitation Wednesday December 12, 2012, 5 - 8 PM at Michael Loterbour-Powers Funeral Home, Pomeroy, IA
