Mr. Ayres, a minister by profession, has a birth date of 1840 on his tombstone. His death certificate, however, states that he was born in 1842. Dan was married first to an Annie/Anna Davis from Georgia. They had the following children per 1880 census when they were living in Kerr County, TX: dau - S. F. Ayres - 13 son - J. H. Ayres - 9 son - C. C. Ayres - 6 dau - Josephine Ayres - 2
