Bio
A funeral service for Sharon Tallant, age 63, of Grapevine will be conducted at Miller Grove United Methodist Church at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, December 20, 2012, with Howard Strickland officiating. Interment will follow at Miller Grove Cemetery, with Johnny Ferguson, Norman Ross, Billy Lynn, Gary Williams, Mac Garrett and R. L. Covington serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be the Miller Grove High School Class of 1967. Visitation will be held one hour before the service (1:00 p.m.). Sharon Tallant passed away Sunday morning, December 16, 2012. She was born in Hunt County on April 6, 1949, the daughter of Ernest Eugene Tallant and Flossie Marie (Banks) Tallant. She was an elementary, junior high, high school and special ed. Teacher for Grapevine I.S.D for 40 years. She attended Miller Grove United Methodist Church and First Baptist Church of Grapevine. Survivors include: brother, John Eugene Tallant and Faye of Hope, Arkansas; nephew, John Dwayne Tallant and Tina, of Winona; grand-niece, Katelyn Tallant and grand-nephew Brendan Tallant; step-nieces, Elaine Wells and Jeff, of Sulphur Springs, Connie Neel and Robby of Arkadelphia, Arkansas; step-nephews, Roger Johnson and Threesa of Malvern, Arkansas, Lynn Johnson and Melinda of Fouk, Arkansas and their families. Special thanks to caregivers, Alice Hester and Sue Alderidge and Mary and Rose Leveni. She was preceded in death by her parents.
