Betty Jean Pickett, 84, passed away on Monday, December 17, 2012, in Fairfield, after a lengthy illness. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, December 18, 2012, at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home. Graveside services will be 11 a.m., Wednesday, December 19, 2012, at Driver Cemetery, Teague. Betty Jean was born in Freestone County, Texas, to the late Fred and Leona Davis. In 2003 she became the wife of Asa Pickett. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Bradford Ivy. She is survived by husband, Asa Pickett; daughter, Nadine Ivy Phillips; granddaughter, Ivy Phillips; step-son, Cullen Pickett and wife, Mandy; sister-in-law, Doris Ivy Patrick; other family members and many friends.
