Bio
Nancy Kadavy, 75, of rural Bruno, died Sunday, December 16, 2012, at her home. Nancy Jean Kadavy was born February 10, 1937, in Bruno, Nebraska to Joseph and Mary(Roubal) Nozicka. She attended country school near Bruno and graduated from David City High School in 1955. On August 4, 1956, she married Fred Kadavy at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Bruno. She was a lifelong resident of the Bruno area. Nancy worked as a cook at Northside Cafe for 14 years, the Legion Club in David City, CB Bar in Brainard and most recently worked at the David City Senior Center until retiring in 2009. Nancy especially enjoyed spending time with her family. She also loved to spend time reading. Nancy is survived by two daughters; Deb(Mike) Kula of Rising City and Sue Hrnicek of Bruno, and six grandchildren; Adam, Andy and Tyler Hrnicek and Nick, Amber and Micaela Kula, many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Fred and sister and brother-in-law Evelyn and Ernest Yindrick.
