Bio

Dennis Ray Ingram,90, died at his residence and graveside services will be held at the Tennessee Colony Cemetery under the direction of Herrington/ Land of Memory Funeral Home. He was born in a log cabin on Beaver Creek to Solan and Gladys Humphrey Ingram. He served in the US Army Military Police during WWII in the Philippines. He returned home from the war to Tennessee Colony where he was a longtime owner-operator of a dairy and cattle operation. He also farmed, raising peanuts, cotton, sugar cane, peas and hay. He was preceded in death by his wife Geraldine McKenzie Ingram; daughter, Glenda Kay Roberts; grandson, Clint Ingram; parents, brothers William H. "Cotton" Ingram, J.C. "Red" Ingram, Calvin "Cat Ingram and a sister, Addie Bea "Sis" Humphrey. Mr. Ingram is survived by his son, Ronnie Ingram of Tennessee Colony; four grandsons; Chris Ingram of Tennessee Colony, Raymond Roberts, Richard Roberts of Sulphur Springs and Roger Roberts of Yantis; two granddaughters, Rhonda Potter and Rachell Villarreal both of Sulphur Springs; 15 grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild; numerous nieces and nephews. Condolence call will be received from 6-8 pm, Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at Herrington/Land of Memory Funeral Home.
