Beverly Joanne (Navrkal) McClain of Dallas, Texas died Tuesday, December 4, 2012, after a two year battle with breast & brain cancer. Beverly was formerly from Sioux City, Iowa. Memorial Services were at 1 p.m. on Saturday, December 15, 2012 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Sioux City, with the Reverend Michael J. Erpelding officiating. The body has been cremated with her remains being scattered at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of North Dallas Funeral Home. Beverly was born on February 27, 1957, in Sioux City, Iowa to Ernie and Stella (Yusten) Navrkal. She attended grade school in rural Nebraska, Lawton, and Bronson, Iowa. She graduated from Lawton High School in 1975. In 1980 she graduated from Stewart's School of Cosmetology. Beverly lived in Borger, Texas from 1980 - 1992. She married Mark McClain on July 11, 1992 in Dallas. She remained living in Dallas until her death. She was employed at Munsch Hardt Kopf & Harr, P.C. to her death. Along with being a Cosmetologist, Beverly also sold Avon and was very active in her sons athletic activities. She attended Northway Church of Dallas. She enjoyed reading, volunteering for school and church activities. Survivors include her husband, Mark; two sons, Andrew and Adam of Dallas; her parents, Ernie and Stella Navrkal of Sioux City; two brothers, Bob (Linda) Navrkal of Hinton, Iowa, and Jim (Kelly) Navrkal of Sioux City; a sister, Barb (Ken) Culliton of Sioux City, six nephews; a niece; two great-nephews; a great-niece; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Elsie Yusten of Ponca, Nebraska and Frank and Julia Navrkal of Waterbury, Nebraska.
